I had promised you all that we’d make use of those scraps that we were left with during the piecing process and in that spirit, I’d like to unveil the projects we’ll be working on for the next few months. Introducing. . . the Diamonds Bonus Quilt and Bonus pillow!

These are the little sisters of the Diamonds quilt. We are going to keep the quilting simple on these, so you can feel free to experiment with contrasting threads. But wait. . . I’m getting ahead of myself because this month we are PIECING both projects and I’ll be back to teach you how to quilt them later.

Remember those large triangles we cut off when piecing the “stitch-and-flip” corners? We’ll be sewing these into half-square triangles and trimming them down to make the quilt.

And those smaller triangles with the free-motion feather print will also be sewn into half-square triangles and used in the pillow.
