The Hive Pillow
Here’s a note from Jay McCarroll, fashion designer and BERNINA National Artisan:
I have been having a great time teaching classes at Spool in Philadelphia. In this class, I taught a group of young ladies to create what I call The Hive Pillow.
Using fusible web, we ironed hexagons of scrap fabric onto backgrounds, creating a spin on the traditional Grandmother’s Fabric Garden.
We then sewed around each hexagon with a simple zigzag stitch. The ladies did a grand job and we had lots of fun.
