The song is called ‘Happiness’ by BenBig Band! The music and rights to use it were purchased from Bensound.com.

What is the pattern used in the last few photos?
-
Are you referring to the video tutorial? That mask was made following the CDC’s mask pattern, which can be found here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/diy-cloth-face-coverings.html

Hi Megann,
Thanks for the video! Very helpful. Could you tell me what iron you are using? It looks amazing!
-
I am using the Panasonic 360 Freestyle Cordless Iron. We use it for most of our projects!

-
What is the iron you are using in the serger 5 minute mask tutorial?

In this video, I am using the Panasonic 360 Freestyle Cordless Iron!

Hello, in the video, at the 1:53 mark, you lower the knife before folding and sewing the sides. What if your serger is an older model (1986) and cannot do this?
-
No worries if you cannot lower the knife! Sew the seam the same way, just be sure to trim off as little as possible. If you trim away too much, the elastic will not fit through the casing you are creating.

To make these even faster I cut lining and top fabric 6″ by WOF. I serge both long ends, turn the tube right side out, press, top stitch long edges and THEN cut into 10″ segments. I marked the back of my Susan Cleveland metal Prairie Pointer pressing tool with 3/4 inch and use that to press over the short ends.

Great tips! Thank you for sharing!

Thank you for the great quick pattern! I would appreciate measurements for a 2 year old, 4 year old, 7 year old and 10 year old. Thank you for your help.
-
Hi there! There are not exact measurements for children’s sizes. I would suggest sizing down the dimensions of the fabric pieces inch by inch until you find a size that works for you!

Do you have a PDF of the instructions? I would like to download the instructions to have next to my serger. Thank you!!

I made the mask based off of the CDC’s recommended mask! You can print that pattern here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/how-to-make-cloth-face-covering.html

Love this! Thank you. Could you tell us the settings? Are you using all 4 threads? Thanks again!
-
I used a 3-thread wide overlock, using the left needle. I adjusted the tension settings until the stitch looked the way I wanted it too, which resulted in the tensions dials being set to about 5.5.

Thank you SO much! I really appreciate your response and the wonderful instructions!
